इंडोनेशिया में चल रहे 18वें एशियाई खेलों के तीसरे दिन भारत की शानदार शुरुआत हुई है। 10 मीटर एयर पिस्टल में 16 साल के सौरभ चौधरी ने गोल्ड मेडल जीतकर इतिहास रच दिया है। वहीं दूसरी तरफ पहली बार एशियाई खेलों में हिस्सा ले रहे अभिषेक वर्मा ने इसी स्पर्धा में कांस्य पदक जीता।
सौरभ चौधरी ने जापान के खिलाड़ी को पछाड़ते हुए गोल्ड मेडल पक्का किया। उन्होंने कुल 240.7 का स्कोर किया और एशियन गेम्स का रिकॉर्ड बना दिया। 219.3 अंक के साथ अभिषेक वर्मा तीसरे स्थान पर रहे। भारत के कुल मिलाकर अब 3 गोल्ड मेडल हो गए हैं।
